TULA’S SHOWCASE was named to honor a very special Greek lady, my mother, TULA. TULA, translated from Greek, means “the light of God”. My mother was a very determined woman and there is no denying that things did light up when she entered a room! The source of the light is subject to debate.
Traditionally, the Greeks are a very proud and generous people. My wife, Kathryn, is from the South. Combined with Kathryn’s “Southern Hospitality”, our life together has taken the word “hospitable” to a whole different level, as our family, friends and neighbors freely attest to.
Kathryn and I have a strong desire to share unique culinary products from around the world with others who are as passionate about cooking and food as we are. We also love to travel! There is no better way to fulfill all three passions than by presenting our special “finds” to you. We hope to become your source for some of the finest and unique culinary products, accessories and gifts from around the world.
Over the years, we have discovered products that remain our favorites. They are timeless! One example is the Atlas Handcrafted Pepper Mill. I gave one to Kathryn for her birthday eleven years ago. Not only does she still love it, but everyone who uses it wants to know where they can get one. It took us a while but we finally found a way to make them available to everyone.
All of the products you receive from TULA’S SHOWCASE will be of the same exceptional quality, which will give you, and possibly your descendents, years of enjoyment. Our full flavored olive oils, vinegars, and truffle oils will create a lasting impression for all who experience these extraordinary products.
Although our journey has begun in Greece (for obvious reasons), Spain and Italy, we are looking forward to bringing you new discoveries from around the world, including local artisans here in the United States. (We may have to start in the South!) We will constantly be searching the globe for preferred products, providing the right tools and sumptuous tastes for all you foodies.
